This plot shows the time-evolution of the number of peers which have downloaded three specific files (one color per file) in a P2P system, as observed during a 10 weeks continuous measurement.
We selected three files which have been downloaded many times but did not appear during the 1-st or the last week of measurement. We thus expect to observe the whole history of the file: from the time it has been introduced in the system to the time when no peer is interested in it anymore.
This makes it possible, for the first time, to observe the spreading of files among peers, and the evolution of their popularity.
